Lincolnland Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) is pleased to welcome Heidi Young as the new Executive Director effective 12/13/2021. Heidi, a Spencer County native, attended Heritage Hills High School and earned her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University. She began her professional career with a prominent national retailer. It was through her eight-year tenure in retail that she developed a deep knowledge for business and team management. In 2020, Heidi moved back to Spencer County and obtained her real estate license. As a licensed Realtor® she brings with her an awareness of the local real estate market and the need for additional housing options within the county.
As the Executive Director for LEDC, Heidi is focused on sustaining and growing economic development opportunities in Spencer County. When asked about her new role she stated, “What excites me most about the Executive Director role is that I will be able to collaborate with local businesses and elected officials in order to bring about additional job opportunities for the residents of Spencer County.”
